EU VAT rates
The standard VAT-rate snapshot for Denmark is 25%, observed in VAT Engine’s TEDB source snapshot dated 2026-01-01. It is a source-backed reference point, not a legal effective-date claim or a determination of the rate for a particular supply.
Reduced rates, exemptions, place-of-supply rules, and product classification can change the answer. Use the dated API lookup for operational decisions and verify legal effective dates against primary authority when required.
The Danish Tax Agency explains that 25% VAT on a price before tax is 20% of the total price including VAT. For a sale already confirmed as subject to Denmark’s standard rate, DKK 125.00 including VAT contains DKK 100.00 before tax and DKK 25.00 VAT. Confirm the supply’s treatment before applying this arithmetic.
